In January/February of your senior year, Kittatinny seniors who are interested in attending SCCC after graduation will receive a free application from their counselor. They are also invited to meet with a representative from SCCC in February.

Students can begin registering for classes by signing up for a SOAR session.
Registration begins mid-March 2021.

ACT 23 in English, Reading and Math
If you need to test, contact the SCCC Testing Center at 973-300-2242 to schedule a testing time. You can also be exempt if you have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or better. You will need your Kittatinny ID and/or Driver’s License in order to test.
- Step 1. Apply for Admissions. In the month of February, there will be an “Instant Application Day” at KRHS. You can complete a free application at this time. Passes will be given out to interested seniors during homeroom in order for you to attend.
- Step 2. Take College Placement Test, if need be. Only students who have not reached the following cut off scores need to take the exam:

- Step 3. Apply for Scholarships. SCCC offers scholarships every year. Check out their website at www.sccc.edu. Click on Admissions, Paying for College, and Scholarships. You may need a resume and letters of recommendation depending on the scholarship requirements.
- Step 4. Apply for Financial Aid. Visit www.fasfa.gov to apply. Use Sussex School Code 025688. Call the Financial Aid office at 973-300-2225 to determine your financial aid status.
- Step 5. Sign up for a SOAR Session. Call 973-300-2207 to make an appointment to discuss plans, goals and to register for classes. Bring your acceptance letter which contains your student id number.
- Step 6. Pay Tuition. You can pay online or at the Bursar's office. There are easy no interest payment plans available. For questions contact the Bursar office at 973-300-2106 ext.2114
- Step 7. Attend a SOAR Session. Find out all the great opportunities they have to offer.

NJ STARS is a scholarship program exclusively for New Jersey residents that covers the cost of tuition at New Jersey's 19 community colleges.

NJ TRANSFER, the website that helps you transfer community college courses in the State of New Jersey. Its many features will assist you in learning:
- Which courses to select at a community college.
- Which New Jersey four-year colleges offer equivalent courses.
